How Much Gel to Use

A little goes a long way. Twist the applicator until a small, pea-sized amount of gel appears through the holes on top. That's the right amount for one session — regardless of your dog's size.

Here's a simple guide by dog size:

Small Dogs (under 20 lbs — Chihuahuas, Yorkies, Dachshunds, Shih Tzus)
Twist up just enough gel to barely cover the top of the applicator. Half a pea-size is plenty. Small dogs have smaller mouths, and their tongues will distribute the gel efficiently across the gum line in just a few licks. Less is genuinely more here.

Medium Dogs (20–55 lbs — Beagles, Bulldogs, Cocker Spaniels, Border Collies)
A standard pea-sized amount is ideal. Twist until the gel is just visible across the top holes — a small, rounded dome. This gives your dog enough gel to work across the full gum line in a natural licking session of 5–10 seconds.
